My name is Ryan Rhynes, and I’ve been a tattoo artist for 15 years.
Born and raised in California, I moved to the Pacific Northwest in 2009
to begin my apprenticeship with a highly respected tattoo artist in the Seattle area.
As a versatile artist, I feel confident working in most styles, but my passion lies in creating bold,
colorful pieces that complement the natural form of the human body.
I especially enjoy floral designs, American and Japanese traditional styles, as well as black and grey work ranging from traditional to realism.
My top priority is connecting with my clients and understanding their vision to deliver professional tattoos they’ll be proud of.
Whether it’s a fun, lighthearted piece or something deeply personal and meaningful,
I always make sure I’m aligned with my clients to ensure their complete satisfaction with the final result.
" I have always been into art. From an early age, I always had a pencil in my hand and I
always knew that creating and drawing was what I was meant for.
Drawing and creating art was a way for me to be be calm and slow my mind.
Art excited me and was a way for me to have creative adventures.
From grade school to high school and as a graduate I excelled in art classes.
These classes helped me to hone my creative capabilities and learn and develop new skills.
I went from art classes in school to street art. I used what I already knew, and became a graffiti artist.
After my misspent youth I attended art school and graduated with a bachelors in graphic design.
This opened up many creative opportunities for me.
To provide for my family, I put down art for a period of time to raise my children.
I ventured in many directions learning many other great skills to add to my potential but something was always missing.
I have taught my kids to find their passion and pursue what makes them happy.
So I knew I needed to lead by example and get back to what I love to do.
As life progressed, I planted myself in a position to learn the art of tattooing and it quickly became my passion.
I apprenticed at one of the other tattoo shops in Olympia WA, Primevil Ink and stayed there for 8 years.
I'm so proud to now have my very own tattoo shop in Washington,
The Chapel Tattoo Studio. A place where I can take people's ideas and build on their concept,
to render in detail a design that they will wear throughout the rest of their lives.
I take great care, pride and dedication in making something that my clients will be proud to wear.
I strive to continue to learn new techniques to better my skills in this craft.
My goal for the future is to raise my own artistic and professional bar and be the best that I can be.
For all my past clients, and the new ones to come, Welcome home.
Where you become family when I tattoo you.
Can't wait to be a part of your next tattoo."
